Blink – Malcolm Gladwell

This book is a great read that has had some wide acclaim and has been disputed by some, including the rebuttle book Think by Michael R. LeGault, on the merits of its philosophy.

I have read both, and can simply say that the latter simply loses the core idea behind Gladwells book and is misguided in his refuting discourse.

All in all, this book evokes and promotes healthy thinking and quick, sharp , alert observations and reactions.

Malcolm Gladwell (born September 3, 1963) is a British-born Canadian journalist, author, and pop sociologist, based in New York City. Gladwell’s British father, Graham Gladwell, is a civil engineering professor emeritus at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada; his mother, Joyce, is a Jamaican-born psychotherapist. Gladwell has said that his mother, who published a book titled Brown Face, Big Master in 1969, is his role model as a writer.

Malcolm has been a staff writer for The New Yorker since 1996. He is best known for his books The Tipping Point (2000),and Outliers (2008), and What the Dog Saw: And Other Adventures (2009).
